Hello every body,
I would like to share with you something that happen at my last show. I was booked for the opening of a new hotel. While I was preparing my show I got injured on my head! Nothing serious, there was a step and a low ceiling at the same place. well I saw the step and didn't see the ceiling. The results: a little blood, I was stunned for 5 minutes and now there is a big sign which says "watch your step AND your head!". Everybody was aware of my little accident, and after the show some people came to me and asked me if I was able to read their mind because of my earlier accident. I answered that I was able to read their mind because I was trained for that, but maybe this night my perception was increased. I think this is an idea of presentation that somebody might find usefull. even if personnally I will not bang my head before every show. Best Alex |

Alex,
It's original, but I don't think it should be performed on a regular manner Earl. |

Hello Alex,
I think you're right when you use an exceptional event to embellish "on the spot" the perception of yours skills by your audience. However, take care of the kind of heckler (or spectator) who could say :"what a psychic ! he can't master his feet and head at the same time" or " he gots his mental powers by knocking on his head". Personally, I would say this little incident is already forgotten after a few minutes of meditation... Ooommmm(aspirin)mmmmmmmmmm Best Didier |

I would think others would wonder about your intuitive abilites...you can read my mind and see the future but you couldn't see the thing that hit you on the head. If you can see the future why didn't you know that was going to happen?
I would mention something like that before a show and others would try to attribute things to it. If you are doing really well they will think they are witnessing a rare event like MJ's Flu game. People forever will be bragging that they were at that game. If you aren't doing well, they will attribute any "mistakes" (even when you know there will be a "no" answer or something similar) to your accident. Jonathan Grant |

It makes me think about Super Heros ! You know in the Comics : ordinary people often gain super powers after an accident. And there are many "true" stories about people becoming psychic after a car accident or something like that.
Do we have to name you Super Alex ? Or did you chose another Super Hero name ? Let us know ! BTW there is already a Reeve who is a super hero, his first name is Christopher I think... |

There are TWO superhero reeves. George Reeves played the original part of superman in the old bandw tv show and Christopher Reeves played Superman in the 80's movies (late 70's?). However, Christopher fell off a horse and hit his head and became paralyzed. So not all accidents work like that.

Peter Hurkos, supposedly the World's most tested psychic gained his "powers" after falling off a ladder and ending up in a coma. Nice one!
And John Edward gained his incredible psychic powers after landing a TV series along with an army of researchers and assistants. |

John Edwards does a wonderful service to mentalists - who needs to buy cold reading videos while he's on the TV ! ( not that John Edwards would ever employ something like cold reading of course with his amazing psychic powers ).
