Hi all,
I'm making up some gaffs and I have a question regarding the color of card backs? Does anyone happen to know what the RGB (Red,Green,Blue) values are for Red Backed and Blue Backed Bicycle cards? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Laurence. |

Not sure what you 're asking. Spectrum of colors?

Look about a third of the way down the page, under "color matching." Is this what you're looking for? |

If your going to be printing them you want the CMYK breakdown.

CMYK is used in connection with commercial printing, because it defines the relative amounts of the 4 dyes used in printing machines (Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/blacK). When you design with colors using your computer, it is easier to use RGB-colors (Red/Green/Blue), because it reflects the 3 colors used on the screen to generate all colors. If you want a stronger tint of red, you just raise the R-number.
You can design your cards using the RGB-system, and your printer will automatic convert to CMYK. If you are using your home printer the small imperfections caused by the converting will be undetectable. The absence of color calibration between your screen, your software and your printer will cause a much larger error. Troels |

Another note on color matching: Once you have the match successfully done, you'll want to print to a postscript printer if using any of the commercial DTP programs. Unfortunately, inkjet printers aren't postscript. Any copy shop should be able to print on blank playing card stock that you supply them. I'm using A4 size stock and they will need to know that so that the prints come out the right size.
