That is very cool in many aspects. Possibly the most interesting part to me is how the removal of the human element also removes the magic, a point many magicians have learned in other ways.

Very fasinating. I wonder how long it took someone to design it.

I understood Eric's post to mean that without the human element of performance, the 'magic' becomes more of a puzzle, which I find interesting to ponder.
On another note, I completely cracked up reading the following comments on the video site: POST: "There's three balls." RESPONSE: "No sh*t." |

I think there's a lot of truth to what Eric says. Magic, when performed just mechanically and without artistry, is reduced to a puzzle. However, in this case, I think the removal of the human element actually *adds* artistry by presenting the ancient routine in a unique way.

I'd absolutely take one. It is cool and very well made. I agree that it is artistry.

I emailed the artist and asked if it were for sale/
Will let you guys know if it is, and if we have to sell the farm to buy it. Although figuring out his email address was confusing (site is in in Swedish, even with translator it was confusing) |

Excellent! Do keep us informed. I'd also be keen to purchase plans for building one (probably cheaper, and I enjoy working with my hands anyway), so if those are marketed, let us know about that, too.

Appreciated. I've had a strong fascination with automata ever since I read about The Turk in some old Chess book I was studying.
