No but thanks for the great video link.
I love the way he stops to acknowledge the audience response, as if he wasn't expecting it.

Rocco Silano is a totally original magician, using old and standard methods in his performances and making them look new and different.
Rocco sells many DVDs of his material now. All reasonably priced. I suggest you buy everything on his site. Learn it and you will have material for a long time. Note: That Coin Pail is by Owen's, it is over $600 now. If interested, I know a magician who is willing to sell his for considerably less, with Owen's coins. Here is your link to the Miser's Dream by Rocco. http://legendarymagictricks.com/magic-tr......dvd.html |

Owen's Magic did make palming coins in half dollar size and dollar size, they are no longer available.
From the sound of the coins in the video, it sounds like he is using Norm Nielsen's coins. http://www.nnmagic.com/magicitems/manipulationpage.htm |

I remember going to a lecture by Rocco and he had special coins that he was selling that had milled edges and they were somehow mechanically pounded thinner.. They may have been regular silver dollars that, again, were pounded thinner and given a milled edge for better grip if I recall.. This was several years ago.

I met Rocco many years ago during a lecture he did at Abbott's.......he had a "Purple", I believe, set of lecture notes he was selling and I bought a cigarette production gimmick from him too.
Rocco did a very good lecture with really useful and helpful hints on silk and necklace production. Interesting that many years later, Jeff McBride would credit Rocco and show his silk production in his lecture. Rocco is widely respected for his beautiful stage moves and sleeving techniques. |
