I am trying to find out the name or where I can buy the secret of how to get an ordinary dollar bill, and make it look like you bit off a piece of it, then restore it. I saw a fellow magician named Mr. G. do this but he's been doing this for so long that he doesn't remember the name. He'd show me how to do this but alas, he's in Jax FL and I am in Monterey, CA! Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Tony Magician and Ventriloquist |

Sounds like Jack Chanin's Rip-It, you'll find it on page 413 of the book CHANIN-The Man with the Million Dollar Hands. by David E. Haversat, 2002, 1878 Press Co.

Steve,
Thank you for your reply, it put me that much closer to learning this great impromptu effect. Do you know if it happens to be anywhere else, like the Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic by Martin Gardner? Thank you, Tony |

Sorry, make that CHANIN-The Man with the Magic Hands, I must have been thinking about Frank Garcia! It was a commercially available effect sold as a stand-alone by Chanin so you might find someone who bought one and has it for sale.
