I'm looking to start a new magic club (or meeting at least) for juniors. I was part of a junior club when I was a kid. I now have an 8 year old interested in magic, and a bunch of his friends are keen to learn.
I'm looking for ideas. As a junior, we used to perform a trick each, every meeting, and someone won a cup to take home for the fortnight. Then the guy who ran it taught a trick or two around a particular theme. What other ideas have you seen work for a junior magicians club - say 8-12 or 13 year olds? Thanks for the help. |

If you teach them to juggle they will learn how to use their hands very quickly.

Could do. I can juggle 3 balls, but that's about it!
I can teach them to drop stuff! |

Any other suggestions? Or, in your experience, are junior clubs mostly about performing and teaching tricks?
