I've made this trick only once, using 3 small coins, and it went very nicely.
The curious thing about this prop is that I've imagined exactly the mechanism behind this effect well before buying the trick, only analysing the videos on the web! Anyway it remains very mysterious for most spectators... Well: the effect is beautiful... but: how to make something different with it? The real problem in my opinion is the repetition of the trick (3 times is maybe too much), the noise of the 2 and 3 coin, the idea of the coin funnel is not so funny and the reappearing of three coins is not so easy (for me at least). I've thought I could: 1) Use only one coin 2) Have a duplicate of the coin 3) Draw a pig on the paper and ask the spectator: "Can you recognize what I'm drawing?" "A pig!" should be the answer (hopefully they don't answer: "Yes, this is you! ") 4) No it's a piggy bank! And at this point we draw the opening and insert inside the pig our borrowed coin (which will be noiseless). 5) Then we give the sheet to the spectator and say: "The problem is to have our money back..." But now the conclusion would be very easy also for me, who am not David Roth! We receive back the sheet and reproduce the coin from inside the piggy bank! |
