We had our monthly meeting last night, and one of our members (an officer, no-less) decided to have a bit of a temper tantrum mid-way through when a fellow member (who, admittedly never ever, e-v-e-r performs magic at any time) made some pretty low-level comment about how he was displaying his prop (I was out of the room at the time this happened). That's not really what I'm posting about..........
Some years ago, our very own Dr. Kevin King (who served as our Ring's President for more terms than he'd care to remember) was facilitating a "What are you working on" workshop. Before we started, he made a comment (not much more than an aside, really) before people started standing up to perform their bits: he said, "Be careful what you say and be careful what you hear." I've been remembering that sage advice today....something to remember at our Ring meetings!! It's supposed to fun, people!
His face isn't really this long in-person!
