When I first saw Heartstrings I was intrigued. I love a practical routine with great storytelling possibilities. At first, I thought it is a bit pricy for a gypsy thread routine. But, after doing a little research before I bought it, I was wrong... very wrong!
Heartstrings is a DVD with a VERY practical, real world routine. On the DVD, Peter explains the routine in detail and gives his thoughts, from his many years of doing the routine, on the many handlings and material that is out there. You also get his script and music for the routine, which is certainly a plus! After watching it, I am now a fan and I can't wait to try it out. My intention when I purchased it was to rework the existing story to make it my own using the same flow to stay with the music. But, I don't think I need to do that at all. I think I will keep the routine just the way it is. So, I highly recommend Heartstrings! If you like a little theater and storytelling in your magic, this is for you! Off to Hobby Lobby to get a few supplies...

This seems interesting but there is very little information offering much detail. Can this be performed in a walk around environment of limited to a parlor-stage performance? What is the general theme of the presented routine - Does this target a more mature audience?
Thanks, Dan. |

Sorry, I just saw this. It is a stage or parlor presentation. It is a gypsy thread routine with a great story and includes the music. The theme is about broken relationships.

I 'm sorry, but that story isn't my thing.
But the routine is VERY great! I really like it. It's so strong, because your are showing every part of thread. It's unbelievable... that's calling magic! |

I have liked this plot for many years but I have to admit, I love using the dental floss approach. I wonder if I can adapt this version and make it more close-up and still use the Dental Floss.
