Only about four months left before this NEW convention kicks off! What a line-up we've been lucky to assemble for this first-time venture: the Presidents-Elect of BOTH the IBM and SAM will lecture and perform...as well as Jay Sankey, Jay Scott Berry, Ali Shelley, Artie Kidwell, Craig Dickson, BJ Hickman, Eli Portala, Andrew Martin, Bruce Kalver, and Mickey Silver!
Dealers, too: Bob Little's "Guaranteed Magic", Donna Correll's "Tailored Magic", Craig and Joanne Dickson's "Wizard Craft Magic", Scott Correll's "SWC Magic", and John Henry's "World of Magic and Magically Yours"! It's all online at http://www.OceansideMagic.com: schedule of events, lodging info, registration info (it's only $155 for the Full Registration--Companion Passes are just $85...what a fantastic bargain--it even includes a banquet on Saturday night!), and the site is updated frequently. And no, this is NOT in any way related to Hank Lee's former Conclave. Thought I'd mention that, since some folks have asked. We're hoping this first one is successful so that we can have a second one in 2015. Thanks to anyone who helps us spread the word--it is so hard to get a new event like this off the ground! Thanks, and hope to see you on Cape Cod in April.

Excited to announce that Eddie Gardner, of Diamond's Magic in Peabody, MA, has signed on to be a Dealer at OMI! We're still talking with one more potential dealer, too.
OMI takes place mostly under one roof, at the beautiful Red Jacket Beach Resort in South Yarmouth, MA. It is literally "Oceanside"! Conventioneers are encouraged to stay right at the Resort; special rate is just $109 plus tax. This can be for a Double Queen Room (for up to 4 people: share with friends if you wish to split costs) or King Room (for up to 2 people). Must reserve by calling the hotel's official number, 1-800-CAPE COD (1-800-227-3263) and mentioning Oceanside Magic Invitational. Stage shows are currently planned for the Dennis-Yarmouth High School, in their 485-seat auditorium. It's just a 9-minute drive up the road from the Red Jacket. Questions? Contact us from the website: http://www.OceansideMagic.com. You can even call us directly; info's online. Hope to see you on Cape Cod in April! Where else can you see BOTH Ice McDonald and Shawn Farquhar, as well as Jay Scott Berry, Mickey Silver, and Jay Sankey...all in the same room at the same time? Plus other world-class entertainers. Registrations can be made online or thru the mail.

Agreed; Andrew is a great guy and heck of a good magician! He won't be performing at this convention, but we are so lucky to have him as our show director.
The schedule is shaping up--7 lectures, 7 dealers, and all the shows, not to mention the Saturday banquet. Website has undergone a major update since my initial posting here; check it out. http://www.OceansideMagic.com. Thru Feb. 1, full registrations are still just $155. Then $175 until March 15, and $195 after that. (Banquet is limited to 120 people, so register as soon as you can to get your place at the table. Hope to see you on Cape Cod in April!

Hello, manreb--
The link above is actually incorrect; apparently when I typed it at the end of the sentence, the hyperlink included the . at the end of the sentence as well as the address. If you go to www.OceansideMagic.com that link will work. Thank you for pointing this out! Sorry for any inconvenience that has posed for the past month.

Very excited to get away for a few days of magic that is not too far from home. Kudo's for nailing down Mickey, too! Guys who haven't seen Mickey do his thing with coins in person - you're in for a treat. His skill is amazing.
Thanks for a great line-up and all the extras you have put in. Dennis |

Yes, looking forward to seeing Mr. Silver work, but it's a strong line up overall. Jay Sankey always gives an enjoyable lecture too, not seen him for a long time but looking forward to that too. In fact, it's a very strong lecture line up, Jay Scott Berry is usually another that gives a lecture not to be missed, saw him in Scotland years back but here his lecture is focusing more on strolling close up which is one of my areas of interest.
The convention is well worth the money just for the lecturers alone, everything else is a bonus. Paul. |

Looking forward to next year's convention. Strong lecture line up this year will be difficult to top. All were good but my favorite was probably Jay Sankey if I had to choose.
