1st I would like to get off my chest, these idiots who advertise these coins as well as the original manufacturer, as he is the one that is supplying the copy to post on dealer websites websites. I guess they don't know how to use Google either.
Whomever makes these coins cannot be American as they do not know the difference between John F. Kennedy our 35th President, and Dwight D. Eisenhower our 34th President of the United States. I just received 8 of these Dollar size coins from TrickSupply.com and I was really impressed with these coins. I thought I would get some poorly cast chrome coated coin like the coins Jeff McBride and Alan Wong's Max Grip Wishing Coins (not). To my surprise these are stamped coins much like the Norm Nielsen Palming Coins. Thin with knurled edges that have some grip to them. I always wanted a palming coin that looked like our American Dollar and Half Dollar coins. They are finally here and that is good news. The impressions on the coin are flat, so the stack perfectly thus making very little noise at they glide over each other. I can downs palm eight easily like the Nielsen coins. They are comparably a tad thinner then the current Nielsen coins. Same diameter around as Nielsen coins so you can mix and stack them together if you wish. They have the eagle on back just like our real Dollar Coins. They come in Kennedy Half Dollar size and the Eisenhower Dollar size, that they still call the Kennedy Dollar Size Coin. So just grit your teeth and ignore their stupid mistake at the name of the president on the coin. They are expensive at $8.00 a each, but Penguin sells them at $6.00 each and TrickSupply has match pricing so I got them at $6.00 each. Also his shipping is fantastic, sent on Saturday, received on Monday all the way from Las Vegas to Indiana. I would have had to wait for 5 days from Penguin Magic. I do want to thank the manufacturer of these coins for manufacturing them, aside from the serious mistake. |

Just tested these coins with a magnet, the magnet was attracted to the coins. So this opens up even more possibilities for these coins in steal holders, vanishes, and productions.

Bill,
Just curious - do the reverses of these coins (the dollar and half-dollar size) look anything like the real coin reverses? Or are they some other image entirely? Of course, for stage use, it may not matter. Thanks! Larry S. |

Bill,
Sorry I missed that in your original post, but thanks for expanding on that. They sound pretty decent, especially as they attract to a magnet. Larry |

I have to make a change in my review. After seeing the coins under strong lighting, I come to the conclusion that they are chrome plated. I must say that it the thinnest and finest chrome job on coins I have ever seen in my life of purchasing palming coins. This does not distract from the quality of the coin, as it will be extremely good when lighting hits the coin. Also no cleaning or polishing will be necessary to keep them shiny.
If anyone has trouble with Downs Palming the coins, a little known secret to take a very thin Jeweler's saw blade and make the slightest cut on the edge of the coins about an eighth inch apart. Do not draw the saw blade but an inch or two stroke. This will give a better grip if you feel you need better security holding the coin or coins. Also TrickSupply.com has informed me that he has changed the name of this coin from Kennedy to Eisenhower Dollar Size Palming Coins. |
