Hi. I'm Jeremy. I'm new to the forum though not new to magic. I've had a strong interest in the art for 30 years now (I'm 38) and have studied, practiced and performed much of my life. I've worked with a few magicians in their shows: Toby Travis, Nick Sharpe to name a few. I have STRONG interest in the history of magic. I'm currently reading Spellbound about D.H. and have read all of Steinmeyer's books, the commercial and the technical ones.
I've been out of magic for a few years since my job has left little time for anything other than it, that demanding minx, but now that I'm at a new job, I can focus on the art once again. I'm here in Philadelphia, PA and want to get connected with the magicians out of here. Thanks |

I'd say you are lucky to have a demanding minx in your life. LOL Are you into Stage Magic? -Mary Mowder |

OH yeah. Forgot to tell you all that.
I've been a teacher for the last 15 years, so my natural inclination is towards kids shows. I've developed a pretty cool routine with the escape shackles and I'm going to keep the performance rights to myself!! LOL (I've been reading the illusion boards). I do love illusions. I would love to perform them one day but they are pretty much out of my reach right now (probably forever). When I worked with Toby Travis, I was his stage manager and set up and tore down the illusions. I helped him develop some good presentations with them involving lights, dance, and all that stagy stuff. I do want to get into card magic and am going to post a question about the Card College books very soon. Thanks |
