I see that Vernet just released this classic effect: http://www.mjmmagic.com/store/-p-17971.html
If anyone has picked up this version, I'm interested in knowing the quality. Vernet has always been a pretty stand-up company with their products (at least from my experience). I admit that I love zombie routines, and the fact that this one is so visual (with rising and falling of the ball, behind and in front of the silk, etc) is a nice touch.

Does look interesting. Except it seems like the ball only "climbs and falls along the surface of the foulard. I wonder if it can go under the foulard and float up into it?

Exactly my thoughts too, I used to do astrosphere years ago and this looks identical. I didn't like astrospher every time I put it away it tangle up.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

That's what I thought also.
For this effect to move on it needs to be floating without the cloth, to me it seems too obvious that something is being hidden or at least shielded by the cloth. I can't see anything new, if it is new and there is a fantastic new easy way to do this and get in and out of it then please let us know, but the effect looks the same as has gone before.

Mmm I just saw the routine. I also think it's similar to Astrosphere unfortunately I wasn't very happy with the Astrosphere so I sold it.
