It's a very old but very good effect. It can be performed with a beer mat instead of a card and the two coins don't have to be placed in the matchbox: they can be placed in a pillbox, kept in hand, placed back in a blade purse...
There are many ways to achieve such a great effects which with its many variations has many names. The ma...tic approach is only one of the solutions even if this version doesn't lack qualities.

That particular trick can be traced back to the ancient "Dewars & Schweppes" that many magi still perform.

Thanks to everyone for their response. I'm wondering, does the effect have a actual name? I know of and have all of the individual components as seen in the link for the video. Just wondering what this effect was called.

Johnson has a effect called
visual coin penetration.Which
is very similar to this video.
It come's with the coin's and card.
You supply the glass.I have it and it
is a awesome effect.It is more visual
than the video you showed.Doesn't use a matchbox.
