Hi all!
I was surfing the web on some magic shop sites and read about Alex McLittle's Cocktail Monte. It seems like a really cool effect - not to mention that the gimmicked 'Nightmare card' can be used for other tricks. I was wondering if anyone had this trick and if you do, would you mind telling me about it and your opinion of it. Is it effective? Does it do what it says it does? Thanx in advance for your time! Logan

Hey Paul, it can be found here:
http://www.magicsmith.com Check it out and see for yourself. Sounds interesting, no? P.S. If the link don't work, just go to MagicSmith.com and search for it there (it's on the front page unless they've updated it, which in that case you're gonna have to go through their list of products.

Hmmm, why do you need the cloth? Sounds a little like Henry Evans Monte 2000 with that.
Except it claims the card visibly changes whilst held face up. Certainly sounds no good for banquet tablehopping and is pricey for a packet trick. Anyone got this? Paul. |

Hey Paul,
Why do you say that it doesn't sound good for banquet tablehopping? You're right about the pricing though! Logan

Because in banquet table hopping with maybe 10 or 12 people crammed around each of many laid out table there is certainly no room for unfolding a cloth on the table and moving cards around on it.
I am too modest to suggest that under these conditions something like "Not Another Three Card Trick" by Paul Hallas would be more suitable (but it isn't even a three card trick) Paul. |
