Yes you can do it in short sleeves just like you can do the Raven in short sleeves. But you must wear a button down the front of your shirt. If you don't like the Raven then you will not like the Bat. In fact you don't like magic, because the Raven is the closest thing to real magic one can perform. If you are not willing to practice, and do what has to be done to create a miracle than there is whole line of easy to do magic by Royal Magic that is more your style. They come in a red and black box and are almost self working. Also there is a line of Japanese magic that would be more to your liking. Everyone has their limits and you have found yours. |

No you got me mixed up LOL..... I hate the bat..... I love the raven...... I said I have the bat (not good)... trust me I loooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeee magic...... the beggining of the message says I wanna know about the raven not the bat..... I have the bat and it sucks but the raven is the coolest trick known to street magicians..... I don't buy fully self working tricks like you think..... lol ive been doin it since I was 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do plenty of complicated tricks without selfworking gimmicks in a red and black box as you think. heck I don't really own self working tricks. mabye a few but I'm skilled...... Sorry but don't get me mixed up like I suck at magic.....

I would say that 2 card monte has a great reacton because it's done in another person's hand!

My favorite gimmicks would have to be:
1. M5 I love this gimmick because it is so versatile and because so many different effects can be archieved with it. I love it. 2. Stealth Pen I like this effect just because it's so simple. That's it. Simple magic strikes the hardest. Other than that I just carry a deck of cards with a duplicate around. That's enough for me.
At that moment of trying to box the unboxable our world view breaks up. Th boxes are gone. And what's left? Simply what was always there. Your natural state of mind. That's the moment of astonishment. -Paul Harris

For gimmicked tricks I would say the coin bite. The 2 card monte also gets a good reaction(it's not gimmicked though)

Since this is a very new gimmick, the Xpert is not mentioned as much as it should be. This gimmick has so many practical applications, including tricks in street magic. I carry a small coin purse with 10- 15 pennies and do the signed penny that bends in their hand. Unbelievable reactions for street magic (or even table-hopping)

For street magic my vote would run along these lines:
The Raven PK/M5---pick your fav du jour Chop Cup And a plain, good old fashioned Bicycle Deck! |

You're missing out on a lot of good "gimmicked junk", ozfan!
BTW: 2card monte is gimmicked... You probaly refer to Fechter's "Be honest - What is it?" Bjørn
"Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them
pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing happened." - Winston Churchill" |

The M5 is a mega pimp daddy magnet
Go do a search on penguin magic. There are a LOT of effects you can do with this one. It is very powerful, however a little pricey for the hobbyist Keith |
