Hi everyone,
I could get my hands on this huge book (more than 700 pages) but before I do, I would need your comments on this book. Is it good??? What are the pros & cons??? On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best) how do you rate it??? Any favorite parts??? Is it only sleights ??? Does it contains routines ??? Essays??? History??? Any input would be greatly appreciated, as I never heard any comments on this particular book. Thanks in advance. Ronnie Lemieux Montreal Canada

It's almost impossible to give a review on this HUGE book.
No essays, or history, but a few chapters on sleights, followed by LOADS of effects. If you have any of Hartmans two later books, "After Craft", and "Trickey Treats", you know how his style is. The books contains good, clean cardmagic. All these books are recomended if you can get hold of them, as I know that at least "Card Craft" is out of print. My favourite personal favourite chaper is Gaffed Craft, which deals with gaffed cards. Peo

Ahh yes, but it's not the much sought after first edition. *grin*
The book is great, there is a ton of stuff in there than any person could use, all well organized into easy to find chapters. The three books together are a great addition to any library. David. |

Very good book with tons of material. My favorite effect is Second Blush which is a color changing packet trick.

I have had CardCraft for over a decade and still don't do a single routine from it.
Get a Swain or Ortiz book and save yourself some money. (I have done loads of routines from Darwin's and Jim's books.) Sincerely, Randy |

CC is an amazing reference for sleights. Lots of good, doable effects. If it is being reprinted, it would be a good investment. I've seen copies on eBay be snatched up for over $200.
