But I think that when someone manages to combine everything he dislikes about Muslims, Clinton, atheism, abortion and those who dare to disagree with his narrow world view into one long rant, the comparison to Archie Bunker is apt. |

I happen to think All in the Family was hilarious. Yes a parody but pretty much of all views. Archie wasn't the only parody. Mike was satirized as well.
The show was brilliant and Carol O'Connor was one of the best at milking laughs with a look. One of the longest laughs in TV history was his kiss from Sammy Davis Jr. He just lets it go on and on. The man was masterful by any standard you care to apply. The writing was brilliant. The supporting cast was fantastic. So much about it was a perfect storm. THAT would be more fun to talk about. It is one of the first exposures I had to the comedic value of a "slow burn". Which I use regularly. Ok go back to pointless blather.
