I was reading a thread about logos the other day. At least I thought I was. Maybe I stumbled upon an old one. Anyway, I thought this was interesting.

As a professional graphic designer, this is a common concept used amongst those that create brand identity. The principle behind any brand is the ability to communicate that brand and what it stands for quickly so it is remembered and retained. Being able to merge or include information about the company and it services within the brand mark itself only makes it stronger. =)
