I heard last year for the first time about this illusion.
A BLUE TOY CAR IS DRIVING THROUGH A BOX AND A RED CAR IS COMING OUT. THE CAR HAS CHANGED THE COLOR! Does anybody know more about it???? I thought it should be in FULL BLOOM books but I cant't find it.

Never heard of it but I have seen toy cars that have a special paint that changes colour with heat.

I found a topic/message from 2013:
Effects include a circle of miniature cars that changed color while going through a tunnel... (people rotate the disk and see the miniature cars come out in a different color).

Edwin's "A Host of Surprises" (1990) has a trick called "Auto-Magic-Trick" (pp 257 - 259) that uses just such a colour-changing car. He claims that both Mattel and Matchbox sold versions of the car.
