Hi Bill,
I just got home and saw this. There was certainly good fortune in the midst of an unfortunate situation. Glad it wasn't worse. My best to everyone. ~michael

I just prayed too, Bill, for a speedy and complete recovery.
I'm skeptical as to whether Pop Haydn's Magnetized Water would help (no offense, Pop) but PEMF (magnetic fields) have been used for decades by hospitals to help bones heal faster. It's typically used for stubborn fractures. If you want more info, feel free to PM me. |

Thanks, Pop and Rob!
I'm familiar with applications of LIPUS to speed healing bones; here's an interesting link. |

An update: as of a week ago Saturday, Marlana's back to riding.
Naturally, the first day she overdid it a bit. (She forgot that, in addition to healing from injuries, she hadn't been riding for six weeks; there's a lot more to riding than merely sitting atop a horse.) She's doing quite well. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes. Her ribs aren't sore at all, but her foot's still a little tender. A little more time and she'll be back up to scratch. Thanks again! |

What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |

Marlana's strategy at the moment is to walk him down to the local arena (half a mile or so) and exercise him in one of the round pens - running the heebie-jeebies out of him - before we take them for a ride. At ten years old, he has a lot of energy to burn (a lot more than Khaleel has at 25), so it's difficult to do that when we're on trail together. So far, it seems to be working well. And it has the added benefit that it strongly reinforces who's really in charge . . . Marlana. |

I just saw this topic. I'll be praying that the injuries fully heal. I'm glad she's better. Sorry you all went through this.
