Not sure if I've written this kind of post in the past, but I certainly want to make sure that I have. I believe gratitude is a huge thing to include in life, vocally when possible.
As I left my corporate gig tonight with a happy client (who has booked me two days in a row) I can't help but feel tremendously grateful that I've had this community to turn to over the years. I don't post as often anymore, mainly because I've grown and am in new places (and busy!). And as I see new users pop up, hoping to do more with themselves, it reminds me how much I would not have educated myself if it weren't for the generosity and feedback from all of the users here. Obviously some comment more than others, but everyone contributes in their own way. I'm glad all of it was delivered. So while my life has been years in the making, and I've worked hard, it would be nothing if the support you all have given didn't exist. So thank you! I've posted this without the expectation of feedback. And don't need it, all I need is to know that others know their generosity is appreciated and worth passing on |

Kudos to you. In this day of take, take take, and everything being about me, me, me, it is so nice to hear someone say thanks and show some appreciation for the efforts of those that have helped them and helped be part of their success. The good thing about this place is if you are willing to learn, be objective and accept critique and criticism, there is so much that be be gained in this forum. Those that take the time to listen can absorb so much from so many.
It's a shame that this post has had over 130 views and only one response. I'm a firm believer that many learn and take plenty from these posts and that most are better from this information and generosity. Good for you Dave! |

By investing a bit of time here, I have saved an enormous amount of time in pursuit of my goals by taking a more direct path and not wandering down the wrong paths. I just re-read the quote I included (above) from Mindpro again. I thought about the word "if". I think that we must be honest with ourselves and ask how willing are we to "learn, be objective, and accept critique and criticism"? Often, I see pride and ego getting in the way of progress with some who post here. I am sure it can happen to all of us at times. Being younger and newer, I believe does have one advantage, in that those things that can get in the way of learning are also less developed. My personal goal is to not allow pride and ego to further develop as my performance and business does. |

Thanks again for the positive feedback on this post. Without getting into it, this month has been even more amazing for me. I've overcome so many personal struggles due to the help of others, and am glad that now my efforts are compounding to something beautiful, rewarding, and a lot of travel and gigs in-between. Thanks again!
