Hey guys, I am a strolling magician looking to add balloon making to my arsenal. Can somebody point me in the right direction in regards to what balloons to use, best balloon pump, and any DVDS that will cover the basics of balloon making. Any websites that you can offer will be great!

Go to the LaRock site. The standard balloon is a 260Q. It is hard to beat the Qualitex red pump, inexpesive and sturdy. LaRock has a variety of books and DVDs. Choose the way you learn best and look for a book or DVD that appeals to you. A friend that is a twister is great, but not always possible.Patter, gags and jokes make it fun.

LaRock's sells a large bag of 250 count mixed color 260Q (2" in diameter x 60" in length) balloons. That's a great size to practice with and explore a number of different designs. A simple Qualatex hand pump is great to start and works fine under most light party situations. As you start to do larger creations and venues, you might want to explore a floor pump or an electric pump but many still happily use a hand pump. The are no shortage of excellent DVD's and you might like to start with Balloon School, Bad to the Balloon and most anything in Joe Leffler's series. You'll be inventing your own designs before you know it.
