Hey all,
I've taken up the summer challenge of getting into memorized deck magic. One problem is I'll be traveling quite a bit, and cannot take a bunch of books with me. What are some of the better ebooks on the subject that will keep me thinking? Best - Chris |

Simon Aronson has an excellent free ebook. It is available on Simon's site and at vanishingincmagic.com. Highly recommended.

It's not just for the Aronson stack, by the way.

Oh...if you are interested in video downloads:
Darwin Ortiz, On the Memorized Deck (Vanishing Inc.) Simon Aronson, Sessions with Simon vol. 3 (available at L&L, Vanishing Inc., etc.) Pit Hartling, The Core (Vanishing Inc.) Denis Behr (Self titled download), (Vanishing Inc.) All of these are great downloads. The Ortiz and Aronson have the most information on them. |

Dani DaOrtiz has an ebook on his stack called My Personal Stack. It's worth a read.

I second Eric Richardson's recommendation of Simon Aronson's free e-book. Its title is "Memories Are Made of This" and can be found at:
http://www.simonaronson.com/Memories%20A......This.pdf It's an excellent write-up of some great effects and ideas, and being free, you can't beat the price! Also, be sure to check out Martin Joyal's "The Six Hour Memorized Deck." The physical book has been out of print for a while, but the e-book is available for $20 at: http://www.joyalstack.com/magic-books/name/joyal-martin What's nice about both these books is that the tricks they describe are all non-stack-specific (correct me if I'm wrong). That is, it doesn't matter which stack you've memorized, you can use your own stack to perform all the tricks you'll come across in these books. Welcome to memorized deck magic, Chris! I'm sure you'll have fun learning lots of new effects! -- Jean-Luc |
