Hi there everybody, it is me again
I have come across a little problem where I am missing experience. I am booked for a wedding in August. We have a price tag and an offical "yes" to it. So far I was mainly working in a night club and occasional birthday parties. At the night club I send them a pdf file bill and get paid directly the same evening. Now I have the mentioned wedding, and a very important night club booking in July. What do I do now? Do I send them the bill as a pdf with email now, or the day of the booking or the day after the event? Or do I print it out and hand it over to them in the event date? How are you professional guys handling the bill work on future bookings? Any help is much appriciated! Regards, Markus

I like to send a contract and collect half of my payment with the contract and half at the end of the performance. They get 10% off the total price for paying half up front or have the option to pay the full amount at the end of the performance (but especially in that case, I don't work unless I have a contract so I can chase them down for payment if they try to stiff me). Never had a problem with that system.

Like Robert, I work on a contract. I take 50% up front and the balance either before or after my performance.

For me, deposit with signed Contract and balance paid at the event. Works every time.
