I saw this on Lybrary. Was curious if any one has purchased it? Hope it's more than just "do finger tip push ups daily"
http://www.lybrary.com/the-underground-p......650.html Here is the ad copy: [Note that this method is not the method Richard Osterlind uses for his trademark penny bend effect.] Coin bends have come and gone over the years. There are clever gimmicks that will allow you to bend almost any coin. Traveling around the mentalism underground for years has been a technique for bending a penny without these gimmicks, a very clean coin bend. The secret is known to a few mentalists, but has never been widely distributed. (Another description of the same method can be found in *********** Q-Bend video.) Imagine a coin bend that doesn't require a gimmick or a switch. The Underground Penny Bend will allow you to take a penny from the handful of change a spectator holds out in their hand, have it marked, the date noted and with your mental abilities be able to bend that exact coin! The coin can be immediately handed back to them to keep. You will learn a technique that allows you to put a bend in a penny without a secret gimmick. No Gimmicks No Coin Switch The Coin is Marked The Coin is examinable before, during and after. They can keep the coin! Included is the method and three techniques to make it work for you. This is an effect that can always be with you and can be performed on it's own in as part of a larger coin/metal bending routine. It's perfect for walk-around mentalism! This is something Steve has held back for several years. If you're serious about bending metal you will want to add this technique to your repertoire. Please be advised that this is recommended for mentalists 18 and over who are experienced with metal bending techniques and timing. 1st edition 2014, 11 pages. word count: 2765 which is equivalent to 11 standard pages of text |

I think I know what this is. It does use some preshow work that has to be done to the penny, but you are not bending it ahead of time. You are actually giving them a straight penny to sign and that same penny bends. But no gimmick is used after you do the initial preshow work to it.
Is it worth $10 to learn? I'd say only if you plan to use it. |

I went ahead and bought this. It's not a bad idea, but in order for me to set it up, I would have to go invest in a certain something.
