So I'm rummaging through some magic stuff and I found this unopened copy of The Magic of Al Koran: http://dennymagic.com/store/magic-of-al-......ook.html
It's this version. Now, on the product page, it says this edition is limited to 100 copies. Does this mean it's a collector's item? Does it contain material unavailable in other versions/works of Koran? In other words, is it worth keeping for some reason? Just confused by the 100 copies thing. sean

The 100 copies are referred to the reprint which is a limited edition, the first book I do not think that it was a limited edition but it's surely something rare to find nowadays...

Yes and no, would be a correct answer to your question. The version you have is what is known as a limited edition reprint. Original this work was released and sold by by Martin Breese in 1983 and 1984, the first edition of this book has a bit more value to the true collector of magic books than the copy you own but in this case value does not necessarily mean a monetary cash value should one want a copy of this edition as they do turn up now and again and sell for under $50.00 or often much less. That said the original is a bit hard to find but it should be noted that your version still trades and can be easily located.
Regardless of the above in terms of value of either edition its still a very good book. Hope this answers your question. |
