On this, his one-hundredth birthday.

Professor Corey made it to 100 and is still working? That sound you hear is George Burns spinning in his grave.

He put sneakers and suits on the charts. I love the guy. Happy Birthday Sir!
What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |

Well, but GB didn't fare so badly, no? 'Grats to the Prof- he is truly a funny man, a great entertainer. Wonder if the stats show that entertainers live a lot longer in general? Seems that way to me...
Also known, when doing rope magic, as "Cordini"

Lenny Bruce himself once referred to Irwin Corey as the funniest stand-up comedian in the world.

You can find a lot of clips of him on line.
Years ago I remember seeing him as a panelist on the classic "What's My Line?" with John Daly. Sitting next to him was fellow panelist Jayne Mansfield. The Professor was sound asleep. When it was his turn to ask a question, Jayne nudged him awake. He looked at her, seemingly startled, and yelled, "Casey Stengel!" |

After watching the video and looking at Bob's avatar, the only question I had was. Professor Irwin Corey - Bob Cassidy: Separated at birth?

I could see that, except he's thirty-five years older than me. Could be my long lost older brother, though. That would be extremely cool.

Sadly, I think he only managed 92. So yeah, he'd be really jealous that the Prof had made it to 100 and actually WAS still working.

George Burns worked until shortly before his death, in 1996, at the age of 100.
