George, read the description. It says he's french magician Yann Frisch. He really is amazing. Very entertaining. Thanks for sharing.

Methinks you missed George's humor.

You may get a head in the comedy world yet. Smile

Def an amazing routine. Smile

I can see his mother years ago yelling "Stop playing with your food. Eat you meatballs and drink that milk". Having no idea what he would one day become Smile

Funny, I never appreciated this routine, and never understood the hype about it.
Sure, it's different from all the noisy magicians performing C&B fir 40 minutes non-stop with every line they can think of, but besides that, I think it was well done, but hardly more than that...

Not to detract from the sheer brilliance of the moves, I do find this to be very repetitive and drawn out in places.

But that's just me,
and when viewing things like this I need to remember that context is everything. This is a very French routine done in the tradition of Marcel Marceau and other similar French artists. Like a lot of entertainment that comes from there, it doesn't always translate that well outside France. Similarly, Monty Python doesn't always translate well outside the UK, but that doesn't mean it's not great stuff.

This routine was first posted to the Café in 2011. Frisch won FISM with it in 2012.

Doesn't anyone use the search function any more?

Funny thing, I'm French (from France), and I've enjoyed the Monty Pythons as long as I can remember. And so do pretty much all of my friends who've watched any of their movies.
