Excellent take on a classic ploy. Technically easy to perform, but will look like your spectator is superhuman in the right hands .

Making order out of chaos
Heightened intuition Influence When the participant does the initial dealing, I've been asking them to place a hand over each and shut their eyes... "count to three, and open your eyes...one of your hands will look or feel different to the other, some get a sense of warmth, others describe a light or a tingling sensation around the hand...whichever hand it is, raise your hand away and I shall use that pile for the first experiment..."

Thank you, Sean, Eric, and Chris!
And nice presentation idea, Iain! I would still have them put the 'suggested' pile in their pocket. You could just say they will feel compelled to place one pile in their jacket pocket--using all of the suggestions you stated--and then have them sandwich the remaining pile between their hands. This is only because I like to be as hands-off as possible. Either way, I like it! Would love to hear how your performances go with it! Matt |

Its funny, cos I want to avoid the cards going into a pocket in case that suggests they are in on it, or just for any accidental mixing/moving/dropping of the cards whilst in that pocket or being brought out!
Having the hand clearly on top of the cards for me, keeps it safe and fair and visible... But everyone has their own foibles don't they...😃

Yeah, everyone will perform it in their own way. I at least like that the idea is easily customizable, and that a bunch of you guys are easily tweaking things here and there to make it fit the way you want to present it.
Look forward to hearing more! Matt |

Great idea on this one, one of those 'why didn't I think of that' solutions. I thought the ideas for 'sensing' suits and values was great as well.
Had a bit of a challenge with a shuffle at the end of the routine on initial test run, but probably making it too complicated. =) Matt puts out consistently great stuff in the close-up mentalism genre. Usually fits what I like to a T. |

Thank you, Jeff! It's great that my material works with your style! I take it you must like things to be simple and direct! Matt |
