Dear friends , what are the best audio books (magic related ) to listen at ?
i am going to the gym 2 hrs/ day and I don't like to listen to music (it wont add any new information to my magic) so I liked the idea of listening to audio books (lecture, business oriented , negotiating....) anything that will add a plus to my magical career , is their any recommendation ? Regards Hady

I purchase cds from professional speakers. They do not talk about magic, but they do discuss business and motivation.

One more idea is to download and listen to some podcasts. Here's one site that has some podcasts: http://www.magicianbusiness.com/ The other day, I listened to the Doug Scheer podcast while driving to a show.
Michael Ammar has some CDs for entertainers... I bought them back when they were released as cassette tapes. http://www.ammarmagic.com/cds.html I've also listened to a couple of Dale Carnegie's books on cassette "How to Win Friends and Influence People", "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living"), as well as Tony Alessandra's "Relationship Strategies" on cassette (nowadays, you'd get them on CD). I have a few Jim Rohn CDs that I enjoy listening to, as well as others. Success Magazine comes with a free CD each month. - Donald

Consider podcasts too for continuous content. Consider the topic you wish to listen/learn about and search in iTunes or similar. So many options - way more choices than audio books.

You can even purchase MP3 downloads. You can listen to some Jim Rohn audios / watch some Jim Rohn videos on YouTube, as a sampler. He's one of my favorite speakers. - Donald

Rodger Dawson has some great negotiation audio books. Dr. Robert Cialdini is another good one to check out.
I really enjoyed Derren Brown's confessions of a conjuror narrated by the author if you can find that one as well. |

Mike beat me to it but, Nightingale-Conant is also an excellent place to find Personal Development material.
There you will find some good free stuff too. If you haven’t already, be sure to listen to one of my favorites, The Strangest Secret, by Earl Nightingale. Many thousands of people have attributed this one recording with turning their lives around and helping them make their fortunes in the world. I also like Denis Waitley, Les Brown, Jim Rohn, and most all of the older speakers. And of course, you ain’t never getting to the top until you get a good dose of my ole friend Zig Ziglar. Tom

Darwin Ortiz's "Designing Miracles" is available as an audiobook. There is also "The Skinner Tapes" where, according to the advertisements, you get to hear Michael Skinner discuss a ton of magic.
Regarding the Ortiz book, though, I wish more of the "theoretical" magic books would be put on audio. I think it would be great to be able to listen to Ortiz's "Strong Magic," David Stone's "Close Up -- The Real Secrets," and other books like those. I'd love to have a recording of just the essays in the Tommy Wonder books. Jay |

I forgot to mention some of the products of Jim Snack. Those are good, and most of them are magic-business oriented.

I listen to a bunch of podcasts like the magician business podcast and the Bryan drake show. For business specific ones, there's 48 days to the work you love, the Dave Ramsey show, Amy porterfirld's social media marketing, and pat flynn's smart passive income podcast. Those can all be found on iTunes or stitcher. I also have a show where I interview successful entertainers about their businesses. I put that out weekly. It's called the Successful Performercast and can be on iTunes or at www.successfulperformercast.com ::shameless plug::

That's a nice list of suggestions. I would also recommend Eugene Burgers "Growing in Magic" audio tapes. They are full of insight about improving as a magician and being serious about the art.
