There is many places to buy out there, but here are some of my favorites and my opinions/info blout them:
Penguin Magic: The "Wal-mart" Of Magic Shops Murphys Magic: Have great and original effects that give you your moneys worth (from my experience) Theory11: Great selection of products, care about their customers. The Magic Apple: Great "Mom and Pop" store. |

I have recently started my first experience with MJM (ordered and corresponded about the order, but not yet received). I like them so far...excellent prices, very good customer service (direct from the owner), and the availability of items that Penguin doesn't carry. The shipping has been a little slower but, with the holidays and a smaller operation, I am happy to trade that for the other advantages.

I've had great luck with the online & mail order services from the Magic Emporium. They're located in Tampa, have a great brick & mortar retail store, and have always been super helpful whenever I've ordered from them.

If you are interested in something that is a bit different from other magic dealers take a look at Black Artefacts at www.blackhart.co.uk (choose the Black Artefacts option on the menu). We ship world-wide and indeed have many customers who frequent this fine forum. Black Atrefacts effects are exclusive to us and we do not wholesale to any other dealer - that way I keep full control of the quality of my effects and the service that is offered.
We are, so I believe, the only magic dealer in the world who offers a 90-day no quibble money back guarantee on all our items. This means that if for any reason you do not wish to keep an item you have purchased from us you can return it within 90 days of purchase and receive a full refund on the purchase price. We only want happy and satisfied customers. Good luck on your magical journey. Keith Hart

I used to buy quite a bit from Daytona Magic, The Magic Warehouse and El Magic Shop (which I believe is now The Magic Apple?) some years back. Most of my books/e-books/DVD's nowadays I buy from L&L publishing. Penguin Magic has very good prices on some books I want. I'm pretty sure I've dealt with them before too.

Penguin's customer service is absolutely fantastic! They're my favorite resource for general supplies, books, etc..
Once you get used to navigating your way around online magic suppliers, you'll notice little specialty sites. For example Art Of Play is a fantastic website that is dedicated specifically to unique decks of playing cards. There are a number of small "mom and pop" suppliers that focus on bizarre magic, handmade gimmicks- the list goes on! Usually Penguin is my first stop, but if there's a specific product I'm looking for I will find different resources for what I need! P.S. Product reviews here at the Café will often point you in the right direction for specific products!
