How do you make a sparkle match? These are the matches you pluck from a match striker in your lapels but emit a sparkle at the same time. Do you glue sparkle powder in it? How?

What's up. I'm not a pro on this subject, but I might have an idea to help get you started. I'm pretty sure that the website http://www.theatrefx.com has something called sparkle additive that you can put on it. I don't know if that's the same thing as sparkle powder, but hopefully that link can help you out.

I have sparkle additive. I use a small amount of it in flash paper to produce flash and sparks. I want to know how to apply this to a matchstick.

I use paper matches for sparkle effect. Cut two mathess from a paper matchbook.Cut it to the same size. Rub a thin coat of rubber cement around a match head and while the rubber cement is still wet aplly some sparkle additive.
Glue the matches together at the bottom and insert the head of match without the sparkle into a match pull. The match in the pull is going to ignate normaly and the flame will hit the sparkle additive match. That's it. |

There use to be a joke item that was a paper book of matches that has the sparkle already attached. They also came in bang matches.
I don't know if they are still available, but you can check with any magic and joke shop. Adams use to make and sell these items. |

If I remember the theater fx page has flash paper glue which is flashable and does not leave residue.

Many Joke and Magic shops carry the sparkle matches. Just ask...
