Hello everyone!
My name is Tonio Velayos, knows as Tonio el Poderoso (Tonio the Powerful) by children. I am a kids magician and I like it very much!! I read your forum since Google indexed it (I don't know, more than 5 years maybe) but I don't write in it, because I don't know english well. Is the bigest forum of magic! I love it! I live in Madrid, Spain, and I pertain to society Hermandad Mágica Española (Magic Brotherhood of Spain) It has a big name, but we are a litle group: 25 members If you are magician and come to Spain we invite you to diner and beers in our headquarters (a Irish pub called The Irish Rover) We meet every tuesday night. So... greetings. Tonio |

Thank you for the recepcion!
Yes, It is extrange, spanish magicians in an Irish pub. Dick, you asked "How in the world did an Irish Pub "end up" in the capital of Spain?" In 80s the trend was the Irish pubs in Madrid. The Irish Rover pub was established in 80s. In Madrid threre is a lot of irish pubs (and a lot of italian restaurants, for example) Why spanish magicians finished in an irish pub is that they lend us a private space for our meetings (and good beers, and beatuiful waitress) Thanks, Mary Mowder. Family magic? It is the correct name? Ok, thank you. I will visit "The Little Darlings" forum. |

Lots of people do Kid's Magic and that term works fine.
I like to make it clear that I'm performing for the whole family and that the Adults will be mystified and entertained as well as the Kids. -Mary Mowder |
