I am thinking of putting on a Working Magicians Convention. Unlike other conventions, this will be aimed at the commercial world of performing magic. I would hope it is of interest to those already working private and corporate events as well as those who are just starting out or are thinking of making a career from performing.

The idea is to have workshops, talks and shows... all aimed at magic away from magic conventions and magicians. Whether you work restaurant, hospitality suites, private events or other venues there will be so much to discover and learn… whatever level you are at. I would hope to cover topics such as contracts, websites, working with other suppliers, what laymen really think and how to deal with all manner of surprises at events. The shows would be for laymen if possible so you get to watch commercial magic as performed for the people it is aimed at.
