Dear café members,
I am thinking about getting a copper/silver coin with a Clad Kennedy on one side and an English Penny on the ohter. Will I notice a big difference in quality if I buy such coins from Johnson, Tango or Lassen? Is it easy to break them? Do you have any recommendations which one I should buy? Thank you for your help and best regards, Nightcrawler |

They're not easy to break, and quality shouldn't be an issue. A Johnson or Tango should be fine.

Thanks for your quick answer - I think I will go with a johnson c/s coin.
I just got another thought: Do you think it would make sense to buy a hopping half set instead. This set should contain a c/s coin, doesn't it? I am just not sure if the c/s coin in the set has the same size as a regular half dollar. In other words, can I use the containing c/s coin together with a expanded Clad Kennedy shell? Best regards, Nightcrawler |

You might consider getting an "Alchemist Phantasy" set. It has what you need as well as other things useable in effects -- plus is the best coin routine I do -- at least based on the response.
also called "Coin Alchemy" by some dealers. Hard to find but worth it. but, I don't do it the way described in the instructions. PM me if you do this for some tips,

Although the C/S in a HH set is smaller (thinner as well) the set itself is, imo, one of the best values in coin magic.
If you still wish to purchase a C/S single, there isn't much difference expect perhaps price. |
