I've watched the wizard product review since it's very early days and it just occurred to me that they never ever review alakazam products
Does anyone know why not? Also great to see Craig again |

I'm sure Pete 'The Geeza' is more than capable of flogging his own wares.
The Lewisham Boy certainly knows how to earn a pound note - and bleedin' good luck to him!

Dave and Craig (and the WPR crew) aren't brave enough to review an Alakazam product. Those in the know will understand why.

Jamie: You big tease. Why?
From an outsider's point of view, I'm a customer of both; they've both produced a lot of great stuff and some terrible stuff. That's just par for the course. I don't think one or other is better overall. Alakazam edge it on the production quality (e.g. the awesome Michael Vincent sets). Some of the WMS crew's routines are excellent; Craig Petty's coin stuff, Chop, Russell Leeds' band stuff. David Penn's Topit, Wallet and lecture stuff was excellent. Ben Earl's DVDs for Alakazam were excellent too. WMS have a very practical, down-to-earth and direct feel. Both are good. I think the stuff both outfits have fallen down on has been the stuff with gimmicks that either don't add much or make an effect harder. The best stuff (in my opinion) is where you have well thought out, heavily worked material presented by great performers (Mr Vincent being top of my list, Messrs. Earl, Penn, Petty also on it). As an outsider, it's a little hard to understand why they don't review alakazam products. They've never been shy of controversy before. Then again, if it's a good review, they're plugging a competitor. If it's a bad review, they could be accused of bias, and would probably annoy a lot of friends (or at least acquaintances). But maybe they reviewed some in the past and we just forgot about it? |

It doesn't pay to double cross Don Nardi. You could wake up with the severed head of a bunny rabbit in the bed....

And as for Dave "Babyface" Loosely; don't be fooled by his winsome charm... If you get on the wrong end of his upper cut it's like being hit with a bleedin' barn door.
