My blooming bouquet (or whatever feather flower trick I happen to be carrying) seem to take a lot of knocks and lose a lot of feathers between shows.
At the moment I keep them wrapped in a canvas bag. what's a better way to prevent carry them and prevent bumps and knocks? |

Mine have satin tubes that they slide into. It keeps them protected and saves space. They were custom made for them by a costumer.

I have kept mine in a clear plastic tube, if you can not find a suitable cap for the ends of the tube I would make the end two - three inches (both ends) longer than the tube. Most post offices have cardboard tubing (Called Poster mailing tubes?) that have caps on either end.
I've used both to great success.

I have used a cardboard box with open ends to slip the bouquet into it. The weighted darts are slipped into empty paper towel tubes. They have traveled all over the US this way for over 25 years and still look great.
Mine is a larger Automatic Blooming like I made Blackstone so I use a 6 x 6 x 24 cardboard box. Obviously, you can scale this down for a smaller bouquet. Bouquet could be stored the same way. Years ago when I made the Blackstone stuff up, Bill Smith and I came up with four-inch plastic pipe that all the dart bouquets would slip into. This keeps them collapsed a bit but not too tight to close them up. Try a three- or four-inch tube for most sleeve bouquets. A wilting flower worked well into a golf club plastic tube cover.

Thanks Richard! My golf clubs found a new friend (my son) but the tubes stayed behind. Now I know why!
