Has anyone seen Dan Wolf's new Jarrett Machine? It's a mini snafu shoe machine.
Here is the link: http://www.smmagic.com/?p=1355 I just got mine yesterday...still trying to learn everything about it so I can't do a review yet... |

I love that company so much. I have their Pizza box and it is the best bar none. I want just about everything they sell. This included.

If Dan had a payment plan, I'd be all over this. His Pizza Box is fantastic.
That being said, I watched the video, and loved it. My only wish is that the prop had a "bottom." |

I also wish it had a bottom.

Beautiful looking prop.
However, no bottom is a big issue. |

I'm on the fence on this one. I would certainly buy this amazing looking steampunk prop if it were a little smaller, cheaper, had a bottom, and opened from the front too. I also think a bigger crank would be great for the kid to use. I would also like to know if the receiver chest has a bottom. Everything seems so big, which makes it difficult to carry. I do like the subtle way of using a different table design so the pair doesn't look like a set. I would try to use the table for other things as well.

The LOST & FOUND box does have a bottom. The Jarrett is relatively a small prop. It's predecessor, the SNAFU machine was much larger.

After playing around with this since I bought it...i do like it...very much...I do wish the smoke system was designed a bit better...the current system works, but those who own it will understand my disappointment with it. Not having a bottom is ok...it shows the box completely having nothing inside...only leaving the burnt shoe...it makes the effect to me more impossible...where could he possibly have hidden the real shoe...oh no...maybe he really did burn because its not inside the box...I am trying to work on a solution to the smoke system to fit my liking a bit more...and I've been in contact with 2 other owners of it trying to come to a cheap alternative...im not going to change whats in there, but just upgrade it to something a bit more reliable...

As with all of the stuff that Dan Wolfe makes this is built like a tank and looks great! I really like the fact that this can be done with a single performer, no need for an assistant and I like the "Lost and Found Box" The steampunk version fit a new show that I have coming out in the fall so that was my final decision to purchase this. I am glad that I waited, with all the other shoe burn effects out there, for The Jarrett Box. The machine itself actually fits in the Lost and Found box for travel, then that goes into one case for me along with the "gag shoes" and a few other props for the routine. The table breaks down as well and the whole thing can be set up in less than five minutes.
