Hi:
I'm trying to find out if it's factually accurate that Houdini regularly escaped from locked safes. Regularly being not on stage every night, but more than a few times during his career... Thanks. --Tony Gangi |

In The Secrets of Houdini, J.C. Cannell documents one safe escape that Houdini performed in London. The scant evidence in the literature leads me to believe that he didn't feature the safe escape regularly in his repertoire.
