You may well be wondering why a mentalist is reviewing a new 'Card to box' namely Paragon from Jon Allen.
(the latest in the recent flurry of clear prediction boxes.) Well firstly I can appreciate exceptional thinking and creativity whatever field it may be in. And what Jon has here is exceptional in the extreme. There have been a few clear boxes hitting the market recently but I honestly think this must be the pinnacle of clear box predictions. (At Blackpool I overheard that oft used word "Ultimate" in relation to Paragon.) Watching this at close quarters at Blackpool I found myself, and other magician's more used to this type of effect than myself, standing awestruck all wondering the same thing. "Where the &*#* has the card gone!!!!" On unpacking this (paid for not a free review version) the first thing I noticed was the weight of the clear box. I even thought for a moment it was glass such was the solid feel in the hand. The instructions are as crystal clear as the box itself. The gimmick is a doddle to make. But it's the method and handling that take this version of this effect to a new level. The way this works visually, especially well with playing cards, is just a joy and I can imagine guys up and down the country, tipping cards out of boxes purely for their own pleasure with not a spectator in sight. (As we all know Spectators Don't Exist) Note: The Paragons that were available at Blackpool were the first batch. The one's that will be manufactured for general sale will have a couple of extra things to make more than one gimmick. They will also have a little something to help with one of the ways to end clean. However, anyone who buys the current stock will be eligible for the extras free of charge. The next batch may be a while away yet so get one quick would be my advice. Magician or mentalist, this box will be an addition to anyone's arsenal. VERY highly recommended. Steve |

I picked up the Clarity Box by David Regal a few months back. While quite well made, it most definitely cannot sit in a spectator's hands throughout the performance, as the videos for Paragon seem to show.
Am I correct in assuming that pretty much all of these variations require a mercury at some point during the presentation? |

Thanks for the review Steve!
Guyjr, yes, all the variations require a MCF at some point prior to the reveal.

After much practice to nail the move 100% of the time, I've been using this non-stop for the last week.
Reactions are spectacular. Jon has nailed the formula. He's a genius.

I am fast running out of the original run. I know some people are happy to wait until the final version is released but right now, I can't give a date of when that might be except for that I am hoping it will be before the end of May.
No dealers have the first batch but some are selling '3Sixty & Paragon'. What this is actually is 3Sixty but the basics on how to upgrade to Paragon are offered on the private YouTube channel, the link for which is in the box.
