I had been working overtime for quite a few months trying to find a "perfect" (for me) palm technique to load a CTW or use for other palming applications. A few months back,I saw a post from Glenn in the "Workers" forum regarding his One Handed Top Palm (OHTP)/ Rub-a-dub Deluxe Suite (a beautiful retention of vision card vanish). I got with him via PM and ordered the DVD (along with the 3 Shell Boot Camp but that will be for another review when I get more in-depth study of it).
The dvd (as well as a few other great looking dvd's) can be ordered via his site https://sites.google.com/site/glennmorphew/magicians-only The OHTP/Rub-a-dub can be purchased for $35 (postpaid in the US) and contains a total runtime of a little over 1:40 (aprox :47 is the OHTP). It is divided into easy to use chapters for quick access when you want to revisit a certain move or tip. or you can watch the whole dvd. It is shot with just himself (a tripod I guess) a magicians table (standing) and a nice blue curtain background. No distractions, sound quality and video quality are very good for a teaching video. Both moves are "Utility" moves that you can utilize in many of your existing routines. This is not a "Trick Teaching" dvd (although he does teach a great repeat card to pocket and shows Ideas by others and his own where you can "spice up" a routine using these moves). The dvd starts with the OHTP. It begins with an intro where he discusses advantages of the move, history, credits, Demo's different "uses" for the move. There is also an early section titled "Your Hands" where he covers about three products for hand/skin care (I tried the first and the third and found the third product best for me). The "Overview" section gets into the meat and bones (almost literally) of hand position, grip, bevel, arch, mechanics of the move..."Technique" offers some fine tuning and "Learning Aids" has several training and practice techniques. The next couple sections cover Controlling where and how the card hits your palm, getting the card into place for loading a pocket, wallet... Next is "Troubleshooting" tips of getting by typical problems that occur when first learning the move (VERY helpful section). The rest of the OHTP section walks you thru "In Transit Actions" (natural misdirection) "Palm Grips" how to look natural holding a palmed card. "Pocket Loads" in-depth details of properly loading front and rear pockets followed by a performance and explanation of his "Repeat Card To Pocket Routine" using the OHTP (he later does the routine - performance only on the Rub-a-dub part of the dvd which you will totally understand hot to do - just adding a rub-a-dub moment to the final). He then finishes this part of the dvd with some "Final Thoughts" As I said in the beginning of this review, I was looking for that "Perfect" palm to hit my CTW (mine is Tony Millers SpeedLoader Plus) and for other applications that require a card to be palmed away. I can honestly say... "I have found it" this is a great technique, very practical, looks amazingly innocent (but does require practice). Even if you have a palm that you like, this is worth checking out for all the intricate details taught. Also, if you already do a OHTP, this one is a little different (different finger, different placement, an improvement to the original). Definately worth a look. The Rub-a-dub Deluxe Suite portion of the dvd is also divided into easy to access chapters and is again, a utility move, an improvement on an existing move. To me, It is every bit as good for a card guy as a retention vanish is to a coin guy. Very Deceptive and can be added into your favorite routines like ACR to spice it up with "One more" magic moment. He goes over ideas of where you can use it. This move also requires practice but is well worth the effort to obtain such a visual ROV vanish of a playing card. I have been using this move for a long time and it gets great reactions in the real world. There is a tabled version of the move and a version you do on your front pant leg (which is great for penetration to pocket of if you are table hopping/strolling and don't have table space available). He goes over a nice gamblers cop on this part of the dvd also. For some advanced applications he teaches some face up switch outs. He teaches a couple of nice effects using the Rub-a-dub deluxe vanish also and ends in some closing thoughts. All in all, I highly recommend this dvd. It is only 2 utility moves (and only a couple "effects" are taught) but these are two utility moves that will spice up many of your existing routines and can easily be added to your own creations down the line. They are not out of the grasp of a beginner, an intermediate to advanced card worker will pick them both up in no time with some practice and they will both serve you well for years to come.

Edit: runtime should have specified 1:40 was hours/mins and :47 is mins. (looked funny to me and I wrote it - duh)
