Hi friends:
I would like to know how much Arturo De Ascanio's stuff has been published in English and where to find it. Thanks in advance. All the best magic, Pablo Tejero P.S. Of course this is not for me, 'cause I've got all of Ascanio's books in Spanish and so on. That's for a friend of mine from New York.

I manaaged, through PURE luck, to obtain his "On The Handling Of Double Cards" from a second-hand dealer at a convention a few years ago. I believe there is another manuscript on (I think) palming but both of these manuscripts are VERY difficult to find.
Good luck! Peter :)
My new manuscript, "The Difficult Second Album", is now available at www.thecardman.co.uk

I have contacted Paginas (publishers) in Spain and they said the the three volumes of "The Magic of Ascanio" will be available in English sometime around July this year.
Some great books to look forward to! |

That's great news. I'm trying to wait patiently for these to be translated.

There are many tricks, and many effects, but rarely a Grand Effect. There are many entertainers, but few real magicians. Many technicians, but few artists who use their art to explore their vision. - Derren Brown, Absolute Magic

In addition to the two booklets by Roberto Giobbi mentioned earlier there is Ascanio's Favorites written by Rafael Benatar (34 pp.) in 1989.
I am so looking forward to the "big" book and ensuing discussions! For example, Ascanio would perform Oil and Water in different ways. "Favorites," "Double Cards," "La Magia" and a private video are all different in various degrees, one, I am told, not correct.
