Why isn't Al Sharton, Jesse Jackson driving aggressive public campaigns against black on black crime in our major cities? They don't seem to care or get involved that much unless it's a white against black crime. Martin Luther King would roll over in his grave if he knew how these men were perpetuating the problem and not dealing with the bigger issue. More black men die at each other's hands than all white policemen.......HANDS DOWN. But that's not important to the Left and never will be, it's not sensationalism, it won't get views on TV and YouTube. It really shows their priorities and where their hearts really are.

If we're talking people in general, there are certainly people who appear quite upset when police officers are the killers and not when they're the victims. If we're talking people here at TMC, there do seem to be people who post more in the former situation than the latter. Maybe it's inaccurate to infer people's feelings from their actions, but I don't think k it's unfair.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

We offer our condolences for the loss of your fellow Americans, may they rest in peace.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Sure. Cute distinction. How about you, Lobo. Let's call you out for the millions of worthy causes you ignore. Who cares what you do? You are a failure and fraud for not championing what I demand!

I never realized that "cute" could be synonymous with "obvious."

When I hear about these cases I think to myself -"that could be me". Conversely, since we know that being a police officer comes with the risk of being killed, it's less surprising when it happens to them. Not less tragic, not less horrible, just less surprising. What do you infer about Aces motivation in posting this topic in the first place, based on that response? Is it safe to assume, based on that, that he posted about this tragedy just to make that point? What kind of a person takes that approach? Do you think that the inferences you make about people's feelings become more accurate as the number of their actions grows? In Ace's case, the sample size is large, ever growing, and frighteningly consistent.
If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.
