I already have the Fender Passport Venue sound system: http://www.amazon.com/Fender-Passport-Ve......a+system
I was thinking about generating the bass when it comes to music with the Fender PS-512 Powered Subwoofer: http://www.amazon.com/Fender-6948000-000......ubwoofer Will I be able to plug in two of the subwoofers, one underneath each speaker? Or is one subwoofer the max for the sound system? |

Dynamike, it sounds like a great sound system. I don't know whether one or two sub-woofers would be better.
I'm thinking maybe just one is needed. But having two, i.e. one underneath each speaker sounds nice, too! Maybe you should check with the manufacturer's tech department ... |

If there are two separate power amps (stereo/one for each channel) you could run a sub-woofer on each side, but I'm not sure why you'd want to. If you are using it for presentation and spoken material mainly then bottom end is not all that necessary, after all you are not hired to be the DJ, at least I don't think you are...
These plug-and-play type systems are not designed with concert or club sound quality in mind. They are primarily set up for what they are... a snap together, three piece, easy to carry unit that is compact and sets up easily. They work well for their intended purpose and sound quality is what would be expected in such a unit and not something a sub would improve upon. Also note that if you do decided to go with 2 of these, together they will take up a space about 2 feet by 4 feet and 2 feet tall in whatever you are driving... in most cars that is almost the entire back seat. Additionally you are adding an $1000.00 to the cost of your system. Both of these things need to be seriously considered. There's an old saying, "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear". So don't try to re-engineer something that's not designed for your intended purpose. If you start out with a mediocre system you cannot turn it into a concert quality system by just adding more speakers... it just doesn't work that way. The Fender Passport although portable and a good value for it's intended purpose as an entry level PA system has it's limitations and sound quality is one of them due mainly to it's compactness factor. They are designed to be used as a vocal performance system in small venues, it's not designed or intended to be used as "sound reinforcement". The speakers that it comes with are not designed to provide audiophile or studio quality sound. A sub might provide you with more bass but you may also find that it will provide you with more headaches than advantages, one being the fact that the compact nature of this system will go right out the window and the other is the nightmare that trying to EQ this sub bass frequency will cause. Feel free to give it a try, but it sounds like you've discovered your first limitation to this type of system. You may be outgrowing it sooner than you think. I hope this helps - |

It is all about "Unique Selling Proposition." Yes, I do speak a lot to magic. But I play hip hop music at times too when I want the children to do an activity in my show. I am flexible. I do not bring it all ethics and ages.
I did call Fender Passport. I also asked a guy at Guitar Center. They both advised me one is enough so people would be able to feel the beat. Thank you. |

It all comes down to how big your audiences are. I was looking at your videos and photos and one will be enough for them "to feel the beat"
