On a different note, I would not change the $20's back to $1's. It's not logical and it's anti-climactic. I realize your script attempts to make it logical, but listen to the crowd after you turn them back to $1's in that video. You don't get near the reaction you did with the sponge balls. Good luck, sir.

Hey Jason! That's a really good point. You're totally right that there's not much of a response when I change it back to the one dollar bills. It might make more sense for me to just take one of the 20s and do a tt switch to $100. Maybe I'll do that at the restaurants, too. Changing back to the singles is really anti-climactic. Just curious if anyone else reading this also leaves the bills at the higher denomination.
Thanks for the suggestion! |

The only advantage to changing them back was to re set them for the next table. I purchased extreme burn about 5 years ago and the DVD is still sitting on my desk waiting for me to create it. So I still do hundy 500. One of these days I HAVE to make the extreme burn. I like the instant visual change.

Tommy, Extreme Burn is insane!! I bought refills from Sanders to make a few of them because the bills look crappy after about a month of everyday use. It's one of the best reactions I get. Though you're all correct about going back to 1s. It's never had that much of a pop for the audience. I'm definitely rethinking the second phase of the routine. I still might try the himber, though.
Let me know if you'd like to see a video of how to set up the bills! Least I can do for helping me Tommify my act |

I'm almost certain that the reason you are occasionally being asked by spectators (mainly those of a certain age) to let them see the bills is simply because you are changing the bills back again.
That is the reason you sometimes get asked while Christpher Lyle and others, NEVER get asked. Repeating this trick so quickly puts way too much heat on the bills. Spectators have no choice but to suspect them. I'm sure adults would often like to ask you also but are too polite, while many 9 to 13 year olds just haven't yet developed these filters. I don't think you need a himber, but use one if you like. But if you want to solve your problem, shorten your routine and quit changing the bills back. Besides, it's anti-climatic anyway. |

After Watching your video I think Fred Kaps' idea makes more sense, where you start showing pieces of paper cut from magazines and they turn into real money.
The visibility on bills is not so noticeable. From a little distance you cannot tell a 10 from a 20 or a hundred bus showing paper explaining the fact that he doesn't like people to see he has money but when it's time to spend it he changes the paper real money.
