I had this through a few weeks. Anyone that does ITR work should really consider this.
It is a small device, that can easily fit in a card/cigarette box. Being modular is what caught my attention though. there are three 'switches' provided, a constant on switch (constant retract) a tilt switch, and a very strange air button type pad which is brilliant. just a light press activates it) The core of the unit is Steve's 'Thread Bullets' - these are mega easy to replace, as well as switch in different thread strengths. You could also easily put other thread brands on the bullets! A great thing about electronic ITR's is that there is not stress point on the thread, as you do with standard ITR's. You could literally pull out the full length of the thread, and make something move or animate from across a large room. Overall: The design of this unit has been thoroughly thought out. Steve has put some genuine time into this release, and it really shows. I can't wait to see the other modules that he releases for it (my eye is on the remote activation module!) I agree Marc we have been stocking for some time and customer feedback has been very good.
The nice thing here is that you can also make your own switches because the port allows you to plug almost any switch you like into it as long as you can fit a jack to the wires. We are sold out at the moment but the next batch is due in the UK very soon as it is on the way as I type.
