LOL...I was here at the end of 2014 and got pretty pumped up about pitching Svengalis part time. But then, I must of got side railed, because it never came to fruition.
Anyway, I'm just curious if there are any other newbs pitching Svens this year and how it's going for you? |

Hd to sideline it last year due to health issues, but back again this summer. I have found that Sven decks are so old they are new to a lot of younger people.

Well, I've decided to go another route for a while and try my hand pitching kitchen gadgets. So if anyone is interested in purchasing this NEW 3' x 6' Vinyl Banner, let me know. It's never been used.

Nope, nobody pitches sven decks any more. I did a search right here on this forum, and turns out the last time anybody posted on the subject was in 1892. Goes to show ya!

There's someone selling sven decks at the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, CA this year. Doing very well.

I pitched them but stoped about 10 years ago. I retired. But my favorit thing to pitch was "cups and balls".

Still pitch occasionally. Not retired. Took one of those online tests to see how much money and at what age I could retire. Great news. . . I only have to work until I'm 98.

We have inspired many a youngster to become interested in magic because of our pitch of this deck over the years at the end of our Houdini Museum Tour and Magic Show!

Over my 20 year truck driving career, I used to do free "shows" at truck stops I stopped at on weekends and would pitch Sven Decks and Strippers after (or to close) the show. I learned a lot about the pitch from the "Expert at the Pitch Table" VHS and booklet in the 90's I believe. It was a gift from my mentor in magic "Doc Jon Deems" who taught me quite a bit more beyond the book and tape. (boy do I miss him). Some weeks I made more money doing that than I did driving my truck. I was buying the "Fox Lake" decks w/ instructions by the gross from Haines House of Cards and making zip lock baggies of 1 Sven 1 Stripper and 1 Regular deck. It was a lot of fun and I would love to do it again one day. I also got a decent size box of the little mice with the rubber band tail. (sold out of those years ago) Are the mice still made? or do people just pitch the wooly looking worm now?

Whats a Svengali deck? Is that a deck of cards with printed images from the old black & white movie? That's one flashy Banner JasonK! Is it still for sale and how much are you asking?
