I'm putting together my first show and it's all going to be stories. I want to do it ala Ray Bradburys Illustrated man where I would have tatoos on my body and each tattoo would have a story connected to it. My only problem being that Im not good at drawing and will need to have most of these tattoes specially made. I am going to need someone to help me get them drawn. I was hoping there might be one of you that I could work out some sort of arrangement with. Please Pm me if you think you could help. Thanks

Ellisd-
PM me or send me an email and tell me what you're looking for. I'll draw up a couple of concepts, scan them and email them back to you. I've done 'tat' designs for several people over the years and it sounds like a REALLY cool idea that you've got brewing. Another idea to consider without actually getting 'inked' might be to run over to Office Depot, pick up a couple packages of temporary tattoo papers for your computer, google some images, save them, and then ultimately just stick the pictures where you want them on your body. That way you could change your 'tats' whenever you wanted. Remember getting 'inked' has some set-backs. When you apply for gigs, the 'tats' may dissuade people from actually hiring you. People usually have a stereotype stored away for individuals with tattoos all over. Hope this helps, Tony Ley |

PM Firedice27. He's a very good illustrator and has designed many tattoos including those he has on his arms. I just saw some caricatures he did as part of an advertising package that he put together for another magician. I was amazed.

The Illustrated Man is a great book, by Ray Bradbury. And a great way to frame an act.
Reed McClintock does magic with his tattoos. Another resource to discuss ideas. If you are going to sport ink, may as well make it magical too.
...to all the coins I've dropped here
