On Bill Malones "On the Loose Vol1" he does his rendition of the "Sam the Bellhop" routine.
He shows a lot of flourishy false cuts, spins etc in tis one trick. Well worth buying the DVD for (IMO). |

I think you would be able to find more answers if you were to post this in the "pasteboard frolics" forum...
S.Segal Also, like mentioned above, Sam the Bellhop does offer many false cuts and flourishes but I would recommend getting the video tape made specifically for teaching this routine. |

De'vo's Cradle to Grave teaches the ultimate false cut routine that you have to see to believe it! It's just crazy and is probably the best flourish routine out on the market period. If you want to kill them in a flourishy way, then this is the one!

Depending on what you are using it for would help. If you want just a simple false cut to make it appear as though the deck was just shuffled, Lennart Green's videos have a lot of work on this. If you want a simple sybil type cut which is false, Cap Casino has this type of thing (though I'm not entirely sure on that). Jay Sankey also has some work with this which was based off of Troy Hooser's Ultimate Illogical cut which is what I based the cut I use off of. Though I have one question, if you are going to just be using this for flourish purposes, what's the point in having it be a false cut? And if you are using it during performance as a false cut, wouldn't it be better to use a more invisible false cut? I do use a sybil cut but I only use 1 and it's for the patter I use during triumph or to attract attention quickly. It's not really the type of thing that is good to act as though you are mixing the cards, why would anyone go through all that trouble to just to mix the cards when you or the spectators could give a simple riffle shuffle? (Not to get into a debate here, just explain why this type of thing might not be what you are looking for depending on what you plan on using it for)

Flourishy false cut? De'vo's Cradle to GRAVE without a doubt the most incredible routine I have ever seen!
If you want straight false cuts, then I like Tudors. But if you want a routine with several phases of false cuts and something to just kill your audiences using false cuts, then De'vo's Cradle to Grave is it! Also as a bonus is several other false cuts that work great. |
